Montana small businesses are facing high and unpredictable workers’ compensation costs that strain job growth and business investment.

Fortunately, lawmakers in Helena are considering several pro-business bills—including Senate Bill 345—that would reduce costs, streamline the system, and bring long-term stability to workers’ compensation.

Proposed reforms, including SB 345, would:

Reduce burdens on employers by lowering costly premiums and freeing up resources for growth and hiring.

Stabilize the system with a more predictable, transparent process that benefits both employers and workers.

Boost Montana’s competitiveness by making our state a more attractive place to start and grow a business.

Protect workers while reducing abuse, ensuring legitimate claims are honored while cutting down on inefficiencies and excessive claims.

With just weeks left in the session, SB 345 is awaiting action in the State House Business & Labor Committee. Now is the time to make your voice heard.
